When people ask me about my favorite brunch spots in Baton Rouge, without hesitation, I direct them to La Divina Italian Cafe and say that it is one of my favorite brunches in Baton Rouge. Why? In addition to having an excellent brunch menu and tasty brunch beverages, La Divina is also all about community. It features local art and often has children events. One example is their “Be Our Guest Brunch Princess Brunch.”
On Sunday, March 19, La Divina Italian Cafe hosted “Be Our Guest Princess Brunch” at 8am and 9:30am. There were two opportunities for families to come and meet Belle. Belle read a story to children and La Divina featured a special brunch menu.
Guests were greeted and seated at their reserved table. Tickets could be purchased in advance for $10.00. The menu was Beauty and the Beast themed and there was, of course, Belle.
Our favorite menu items:
“The Beastly Biscuit”: From scratch biscuits with sausage gravy plus two sunny side up eggs and Italian sausage.
“The Princess Delight”: Brie stuffed puff pastry, over fruit compote with toasted pecans and pancetta plus a Sunnyside egg.
“Try the grey stuff, it’s delicious. Don’t believe me? Ask the dishes!”
Belle took pictures with guests and read an interactive story. It really was a fantastic event and just another reason why La Divina has one of my favorite brunches! Excellent service, delicious food, and a great sense of community. Check them out!
